  1. Australia will probably defend all they can in the 2nd half of extra time.
  2. I read she speaks both French (duh) & Spanish so that probably explains a lot but Idk whether people from Quebec are for or against France? I'd suspect the former Extra time in vs Australia equalised directly from corner in 83rd minute. They had a goal ruled out with offside (correct) & a VAR reversal on penalty (looked correct too).
  3. Let's get real, Poland was expected to lose three game in these finals. Italy & Belgium simply blew their chances big time.
  4. Nigeria with a full-blown collapse. Two minutes after going down 1-0 a horrible miskick from the defender results in penalty and it's 2-0 Germany. And Nigeria's best striker is on the bench! This sucker is over.
  5. France working the home court magic, a Canadian referee who has lived her entire life in Quebec has been chosen for the vs game
  6. I'm all in for Mediolan over Stockholm. Forget the luge at Sigulda (which actually doesn't favor Germany for once) but alpine skiing at Are could be equally as disastrous as this year's World Champs. 50 second downhill for Olympic Gold? You gotta be kiddin' me.
  7. Please, football is #1 sport in Poland. Don't teach me how to love football or not. Asian teams are small size by default, they are hard work & defense. They will never play for the applause. But they've got huge results from junior level in the women's game and are way ahead of Africa right now. Those are just facts.
  8. [hide] Knockout RoundJune 22nd - July 07th, 2019 16 Nations, Round of 16, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Third Place Match and Final Round of 16 Date & Time (GMT +2) Nation 1 T1 T2 Nation 2 June 22nd 2019, h. 17:30 Germany 3 0 Nigeria June 22nd 2019, h. 21:00 Norway 2 1 Australia June 23rd 2019, h. 17:30 England 2 0 Cameroun June 23rd 2019, h. 21:00 France 2 1 Brazil June 24th 2019, h. 18:00 Spain 0 4 United States June 24th 2019, h. 21:00 Sweden 1 1 Canada June 25th 2019, h. 18:00 Italy 1 0 China June 25th 2019, h. 21:00 Netherlands 2 1 Japan [/hide]
  9. In 3 of 7 World Cup final games there has been an Asian team involved. How many African teams played in a World Cup final? Not to mention Asian teams also won 3 of 8 U-20 World Cups and 4 of 6 U-17 World Cups. It's a no contest. Asia is by far the second strongest continent in women's football.
  10. Considering Australia represents Asia now, it's basically impossible. Japan, China & Australia are better than any African team and then we have North Korea who got screwed by the seeding this time. And you keep forgetting Asia actually has 5 spots
  11. Japan & China have looked pretty bleak in this tournament, Netherlands have some weaknesses at the back and Italy are doing much better than expected tbh. If Canada beats Sweden, they'll still have to go thru Germany in QF. The closest QF could be Norway vs England for de facto Olympic spot. Netherlands vs Italy could be really close too.
  12. 2-0 for Chile so they go out. Germany vs Nigeria, England vs Cameroon & France vs Brazil are the last three matches in R16.
  13. Chile misses a penalty for 3-0 (crossbar). Keeper stayed on the line all the way...
  14. Canada plays Sweden USA play Spain if they win the group.
  15. Sweden rested 4 players so they've punted this one away. USA 1-0 after 2 minutes...
  16. China has been pretty lacklustre tbh. This ain't the 90s anymore. If you can't beat then now, you probably never will. I'd say Italy is the favorite in there. The whole Olympics qualifying could be sorted out very quickly. England vs USA and Netherlands vs Germany are very feasible as World Cup SF and that would take care of all that.
  17. Yes, I added this reference at the end
  18. If Chile beats Thailand they will play England in R16. Italy vs China is fixed now. Germany only plays Nigeria if Thailand beats Chile or there is a draw. Otherwise it's Germany vs Brazil. Chile actually needs to win by 3+ goals.
  19. Yeah, that's correct both these games have to end in a draw so goes through with 2 pts. A 1-0 win for Cameroon leaves them equal with Nigeria on goal difference so yellow/red cards come into play and Cameroon is ahead there. Chile needs to win by 3 goals, a 2-0 win still gives Nigeria the better goal difference.
  20. It's been retaken... 3-3!!! This is happening too fast for my writing now... both teams are out if the draw stands though.
  21. Argentina has a penalty saved in the 90th minute... Nigeria must be livid right now...
  22. It's 3-2 now...
  23. Yeah, Germany & Italy appear to have the easiest path to semi-finals tbh. On the other hand is France who might have to play Brazil & USA to get there.
  24. If New Zealand beats Cameroon by 2+ goals and there is no draw in the Scotland vs Argentina game then Nigeria is OUT and hence Italy would play China. Nigeria must hope for draws in either Scotland vs Argentina, Cameroon vs New Zealand or in both if Chile beats Thailand by 3+ goals which is still probable. All in all there's like 75% chance Italy plays China and only 25% they play Nigeria.
