FINA is normally one of the world’s most hopeless governing bodies, but they’ve done the right thing here. Other sports should take note. Fina, swimming's world governing body, has voted to stop transgender athletes from competing in women's elite races if they have gone through any part of the process of male puberty. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/swimming/618534504 points -

qualifies for the team final thanks to Russia not being here.1 point -
Apostolos Christou with a CR of 52.09 (previously 52.26) in the men's 100 backstroke semifinals Obviously broke his own NR as well (previously 52.77) Really hoping he can win a medal here, although last year at the Euros he only won bronze with 52.97 after swimming 52.77 in the semifinals (which would've been enough for gold in the final...)1 point

Well yeah if everything goes in 1 thread there won't be a point of opening a new thread for each sport or group of sports. I mean it makes the work harder but it becomes easier to track the progress sport wise.1 point -

Another grass final for Haddad Maia who beat Simona Halep in three sets. She will be a favorite vs the Chinese veteran Zhang Shuai who also needed three sets to beat Sorana Cirstea. The Wimbledon odds for Haddad Maia will be very interesting1 point -

And a first small success for Team Poland. No repeat from Tokyo. This time half of a team didn’t have to head back home before the competition even started. 💪1 point -
Yesterday and today, we've held the Lithuanian u18 championship. 4 additional athletes qualified to the u18 ECH and we should have a team of probably 20 athletes there. The highlight of the competition was Rugilė Miklyčiūtė breaking the Lithuanian NR in Pole Vault that was standing since 2012. The new NR is 3.92 and it's the fifth best performance in the European U18 field so far. Rugilė is also the very first Lithuanian pole vaulter to ever qualify for an athletics championship in any age group, we were always hilariously bad in this event, especially in the women's field.1 point
