Congratulations, you have killed this game tonight, on a special occasion no less. Including the "trick" scare after Q10. As for Sewernose, yes, that his name in English. He's obsessed with theatre and wants to take over the opera in the only episode he appeared in.

@mrv86 And now for today's little surprise which could change your game totally. In a minute, @OlympicIRL will show you six bags and you will have to pick one of them. Three of them contain "Trick", three of them contain "Treat". The following two outcomes may occur: 1. you pick "Treat" -> you will get to keep the safety net on 32,000 and the 4th lifeline (team) will be given to you 2. you pick "Trick" -> you won't get the 4th lifeline and also, the safety net will be taken away from you This is the reason for why you didn't get to choose lifelines earlier. That's my little, scary special for you today.

  36. I'm not a fan of the upcoming code of points either. The reinclusion of an artistic score doesn't do much to change things since difficulty will still play a big role in the final score. Even Bulgaria had to drastically alter their routines losing a lot of charm and artistic value so they could focus on higher difficulty and win the Olympic gold medal. Bulgaria is still miles ahead of Russia in artistry, but their routines were even more beautiful when choreography was explored more than difficulty. The way I see it, with the return of the artistic score, I wish we could have split routines in groups: one artistic routine and one technical routine. Maybe one free, open routine could be added too, and an all-around event with the sum of the three routines. In theory, the artistic presentation should enable countries like China, Uzbekistan and Mexico to win medals at the World Championships. The way things are now, not even traditional nations in this sport, like Ukraine, can win medals at the World Championships anymore! Also, I would like FIG to return with the 4 Continents Championships. There are great gymnasts from USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, North and South Korea who have no chance of winning medals at the World Championships despite huge improvements.

  41. Tim Price & Falco lead the Pau 5* after cross-country, but perhaps the main story of the event so far are Padraig McCarthy and Fallulah who sit 2nd. Less than a pole behind Price, McCarthy might just be able to earn the first Irish 5* win since 1965... In other news, Joao Oliva won the CDI4* Grand Prix in Oldenburg, Germany, becoming the first Brazilian ever to win a 4* competition. Due to some footing controversy, several riders withdrew, but history is history, and this is a big one for Brazil.

  48. She's also become more known among non-sports fans this year, due to a documentary about her family and mostly her mother. She had a brain bleed a few years ago and nowadays can only speak a few words and that's about it. I haven't seen it yet, but apparently it's rather...impressive? Intense? Not sure what the right word is. I remember a few years ago Schouten finally had a big breakthrough win (probably in a mass start) in Heerenveen, which she immediately dedicated to her mom who had just survived the bleed and was sitting in a wheelchair behind a window in the stadium, sort of staring down and not entirely 'there'. That was pretty heartbreaking. So, yeah. Go Schouten.
