@MHSN Basically Brose :BRA is screwed right?

that's a tough draw but I believe in this tournament there is no easy draw for anybody. there are lots of relatively unknown good guys who weren't able to participate in K1 events and were waiting for this opportunity. I don't know how Brose is going to handle his size difference (he was world champion at 60kg. this is 2 weights up!)

btw you are not eliminated if you lose. there is still repechage if you lose to one of the finalists.

Is there a play-off between the 2 bronze medalists in each category and for Kata how things go only pool winners to Semis or what ? @MHSN @phelps

No playoff, there will be a final round-robin pool of 4 with the two finalists and the two "bronze medallists". Top 3 will get the quota. So even reaching the final is not enough to qualify.

I'm afraid I will never understand Kata, but I just saw that Jasmin Jüttner from Germany got highest marks in her qualification group. So great, I guess. :d

Kata is obviously more predictable than Kumite.

Best results in first round were:

Jasmin Jüttner :GER  24.46

Sadeghi Dastak Fatemeh :IRI 24.28

Alexandrea Anacan :NZL 24.20

Dilara Bozan :TUR 24.08

Let`s see what will happen in the semis

Individual Kata will join dressage and sailing in top3 most boring Olympic events easily if it's the most , for me team kata was much more interesting

    • Interesting, for only 2 months i think i have seen some kind of coin from all of the big countries - Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, France, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Ireland and yes the 2 euro from Croatia. But some of them were the smaller ones, 10, 5, 2 cents.    Expectedly there aren't any from the smaller countries so far. Nothing from the Baltics, Cyprus, Slovenia, Malta, Andorra etc. But also a bit surprising i haven't seen any from Greece yet.    Don't know from what part of Italy are you, but it's safe to say that when summer hits there will be a lot of Bulgarians visiting Rome, so i'm sure they'll bring some of our coins to spread around.
    • I choose to collect only coins in circulation (and I have also found coins in circulation that should not be on the market; you can find a bit of everything). From my experience, it takes 4-5 years for coins to reach southern Italy, so I have no idea how it will work in Bulgaria. Incidentally, I am curious to see when I will see my first Bulgarian coin. I have not yet seen a Croatian coin (introduced in 2023!).
    • Yes, i saw that there are a lot of commemorative coins. But to get some of those, i would need to buy them, as i don't know how much of them are in circulation. And the chances of such making it to Bulgaria are rather slim.    Still, if i find some sports ones on a good price, maybe i will order a few.

    • Have you already started looking for the hundreds of commemorative 2 euro coins? There are loads of them, including sports-themed ones.
    • Don't know if someone else is collecting Euro coins, but since we joined the zone it's been fun looking at what you can get.    It took only 2 months, but today i finally got my first Slovakian coin.  @hckošice
