At what competition?

Akropolis meeting in Athens

Here is a video:

And an article: http://sportsfeed.gr/tromerh-4x100m-meikti-agkalia-me-thn-olympiakh-prokrish/

Sorry the article is only in Greek. It also says that the qualification period ends in two days (for the relays I guess). Is that true? I never heard this before.

That’s heartbreaking for Ireland. That’s sport I guess!

I'm sorry, but you still should qualify in men's 4x200 freestyle relay at least. Didn't someone say that it would be the first time ever (or in many years) that Ireland sends a relay team? So that's something to be proud of.

To be honest we procrastinated in trying to qualify. We didn't field our best team in Budapest because Gkolomeev had the 50m freestyle final the same day as the 4x100 medley so he skipped it. Now including him in the team made the difference. We qualified in this event in Rio as well so for us it would've been disappointing to not make it.

Anyways overall this has been a disappointing qualification cycle for Greece so far, so I sympathise with you.

:GRE in mixed 4x100 medley relay today got 3:45.38 in Athens. This puts us in a qualifying position.

Also :GRE Dimitrios Markos in men's 800m freestyle swam in 7:53.07 to achieve OQT.
