Update: The IBU will deal on their next congress with this problem and hopefully find a fair solution.

Article (through good old Google translate) seems to imply they are considering naming Makarainen and Berger co-champions.

Wow!  Co-Champions might be the most fair thing.  Makarainen did nothing wrong, and Berger could be justly rewarded.

I would take Hauser and Leitner with good shooting for the win.  Not the best event in terms of quality teams.

Matvey Eliseev has stopped competitions for at least the next 4 months.  "For me the priority is my health. I am going to take exams in Moscow to understand what is not working in my body. I want to do everything to get back to my best level."  He hopes to compete at the Russian Championships in Tyumen in late March.

 

IBU Cup biathlete Ruslan Bryhadyr had a positive doping test.
