That's been coming for a little while. Just need Chris Bennett to add a metre to his PB and they'll be taking three male hammer throwers to the Games for the first time in living memory.

Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are usually a little more "subtle". As in, their athletes don't achieve literally the exact required standards (like basically the whole Armenian team did for 2016). But still, they achieve massive and suspicious PBs at home events which they never repeat somewhere outside.

yes Kazakhstan too, most of those others "suspicious" qualification marks for Iranian athletes were achieved in Kazakhstan! mostly in Kosanov tournament. either the track is super fast or they do magic with the numbers

 

what's really annoying for me is that some of those probably "fake" results are national records at the moment. I seriously suspect at least our Hammer throw and 110mH records.
