First time we beat the  in 20 years. None of these women (+ Quinn) had ever beaten the US.

 

This is the best result in any summer Olympic team sport for Canada since 1936. Canada is going for it’s first summer team sport gold in 101 years, 121 years if you don’t count ice hockey’s summer Olympic appearance.

 

No way we deserved to win this particular match but it still feels like we were way overdue to get a break against the Americans in this sport.
