@dcro, which nations could fight for the second team spot in the Pan American Games? Of course if they manage to qualify three riders.

Not sure if you're talking about dressage or eventing, so I'll do both. :p

In dressage, Brazil should be the favorite for the second spot, but their level is dropping, so Mexico and Argentina should definitely have a chance for a surprise.

In eventing it very much depends on how many teams qualify here. It's quite possible that none of the American teams will make it (USA has been anything but consistent over XC in recent years, even though they'll be very determined this time), in that case it will be USA and CAN as the favorites. If USA makes it, then it will be hard to beat CAN and BRA. Finally, if two teams make it here, then Ecuador will have a very good chance.

There was veterinary inspection after the Dressage test? I don't understand the injury of Gonzalo Blasco for the Cross-Country ...

Something happened to Blasco? There is no inspection after the dressage, so if something happened then it was a withdrawal.

A detail from Isabell Werth's scoring card from yesterday.

It was funny when commentator Karen Pavicic gasped "9.9 for transitions. Unbelieveable." :d

And has now been euthanized...

Indeed, everything looked ok with the horse until it suddenly happened. Probably the combination of travel stress, age (extremely old for this kind of competition), race and unscheduled break after the first loop played part...

Fences 23A and 24B have been removed apparently.

Also, this will be the first time that the show jumping stage will not be held a day after XC since Los Angeles 1984.
