rajiv 25 Posted July 27, 2021 #16 Share Posted July 27, 2021 Japan seems to have eligiblity rules for it's rugby team similar to those that seem pretty standard in baseball and softball Although to be fair I expect that they are all fluent in the national language I know rugby is a pretty big sport in Japan and I guess they want to be competitive but just generally lack the big bodies required in home grown players ( although this doesn't seem to be a problem in sumo )

They recruit lots of Pacific Islanders who qualify as Japanese after several years’ residence. But practically all countries in rugby do the same, even New Zealand. Olympian1010 7,483 Posted July 27, 2021 #18 Share Posted July 27, 2021 loses to 12-14. I believe that puts them in danger of missing the quarterfinals. “Sport has the power to change the world. No chance, every team in this pool was 100% certain to advance from the start just because of Korea being there.
