Same happens in India. If you are in line by deadline, you get to vote. In practice, you can show up at polling booth even after deadline, as long as polling booth is active and vote.

Yes, that is the same in California as well.

To be honest, this shows that Biden is indeed the best candidate. His numbers are impressive in 2 of Bernie’s key demographics: Very liberals and Independents. Even in young people, his numbers are not that bad, second best behind Bernie.

Yeah, I’m currently going through the stages of the grief, and I seem to be moving towards acceptance. I’ll be miserable, sad, and upset with the “adults” in this country, but I will vote for Biden over Trump.

Well, when Barack Obama says "Sanders is too far left" you better take notice. Obama is the best President the Democrats have had since Harry Truman :p

I am not so sure. I think Bernie might run as an independent. But if he doesn’t, majority of us knew that you will vote for Biden in November. Its just that you didn’t want to accept that.

FDR is the Democratic standard though, and Bernie is similar to him in many ways. But yes, Obama carried Biden to victory. Biden is voted against the democrats quite often, but sure Sanders is the odd man out. It’s whatever the party never changes. Today was the last ever election I vote as a Democrat. I will support individual candidates from different parties, but from here on out, I’m a officially a green voter. I actually want to investigate making a state senate run in 22 for them, if I’ll be eligible.

This whole spectacle over who won is really meaningless, it's not the general elections that winner takes all in every state. Here it's about delegates, so if biden and bernie end up with the same number of delegates in texas but one have slightly higher % , does it really matter?

Just like Iowa, Buttegieg celebrated victory, but the delegates were virtually tied

California has 400+ delegates. Only 144 are decided by the popular vote. The Democratic primary is anything but. Hence, why I no longer want to endorse them.

To be fair, we’ve already implemented many of the progressive changes we went to see nationally in California. For instance, we already have a medicare-for-all program called “Covered California” the problem is that it’s not free.

Oh yes, we even have streets named after FDR in Poland which you might find amusing. He sure gained all the applause from the post-market crash recovery in the 30s. This being said, Yalta Conference was his worst moment, he struck down British Empire but laid a foundation for the Iron Curtain.

PS. If FDR was still alive in the summer of 1945 I'd say you don't drop the nuclear bomb on Hiroshima. That was Truman's no-nonsence hardball. The biggest what if for me is what if Truman was there in Yalta rather than FDR. He'd probably see through Stalin's bullshit one way or another.

Okay, history lecture over! :p

    • It's good that Argentina is starting to get back on track economically. Every year, all of our alpine skiing teams train in August in Argentina in Ushuaia: "Fine del Mundo", as it advertises itself.
    • The relation of Trump with Russia and, more specific, with Putin is probably the most controversial (being generous) thing of the presidence of Trump, i dont believe the same but is clearly that China help democrats in that election, both are playing their games.   In Argentina the society is clearly divided, the people who are in the left side of the politics, peronist and kirchnerism are very against the goverment, propably the only genuine "rigth-wing" goverment since the recovery of the democracy in 1983. For me and the most part who are in the rigth wing: libertarians, nacionalist and conservatives, is probably the best goverment we see to this days, he made in his first year with a very few legislators in the congress some big and good changes:   1) In the economical: the inflation is only 3% per month since a more of 15% in the last months of the last year, Argentina has now fiscal, financial and comercial surplus-   2) Our country didnt have fighter planes and the goverment buy 24  American F16  -   3) He chances the electoral sistem for a "single ballot" sistem, we have an obsolete electoral sistem that doesnt change from the 19 century and specially, the peronist use for make fraud.   4) In my personal case, he really update the tax sistem for smal/medium profesionals and traders.......and that save us to pay the 50% of our earnings to the state.   With a big expectations in the goverment, its better than i thinked before.
    • It could be better, or it could be much worse, for example, if the accusations that he has been accepting large amounts of money from Russia since 2017 are confirmed. Now let Harris win, which will end Trump's political career and I hope that in 4 years the Republicans will put up someone more predictable.     btw, how is this controversial president of Argentina doing?
    • More predictable is not always better, for me the goverment of Biden was one of the worst of the History of USA and i cant imagine what can happen with even a worse version like Harris is.   I hope, for the contrary, Trump be elected and "may be" the things changes for the better in the world.
    • I once read that Harris had never been to Europe before 2020, when she became vice president. On the other hand, her foreign policy will be more predictable, because it will be a continuation of Biden's policies. That is why I hope Harris wins, although the bookmakers are betting on Trump.
    • Harris is totally green on foreign policy. It will probably be a policy 100% led by Biden's people. Harris' main campaign emphasis is on abortion and women's rights.
    • So much for "everybody's laughing at us if we elect Harris"
    • My favorite tennis tournaments of the year (wta/atp finals)
    • was also invited to the special edition of the Bolivarian Games and seems like  is not participating.
