Tripartite athlete winning a medal is something else.

San Marino will break all per capita records here, and for all times.

It's complete nonsense that they don't show broadcast the qualification rounds in these team shooting events, given that's where who medals is decided.

Apparently Gian Marco Berti is a son of one of the San Marino's heads of states. Oh Geez, what are the odds of that? :yikes:

Yeah, I’m pretty sure half the population has been a head of state at one time or another :p

    • Regarding the swimming they have added the 800m for men and the 1500m for women so cutting numbers would be odd.
    • That quota I’ve been told by an athlete aiming to qualify who I know online.
    • Has the quota for Canada been offically confirmed anyway, or is that just a rumour? I can't find anything on google about it (nor the suggested quota for England's athletes someone posted earlier).   12 per gender would make sense (it's roughly what Canada sent to Birmingham). 12 overall seems dumb.

    • In the past few games, Canada (and other nations) was given an overall athlete quota which they then divided it through the various sports.
    • Whose decision was this, Team Canada's or the Organising committes?
