And there's Salpeter in 66th, 21 minutes behind Jepchirchir and utterly exchausted. Excellent job on her finishing the race instead of recording a DNF though.

What an embarrassment,  last place and behind  Next time Athletics Canada shouldn't come up with stupid selection process and just pick the top 3 times to go (assuming they are fit).

Not sure it works outside of Belgium and the Netherlands, but if it does, it's worth a quick watch. Physics teacher Mieke Gorissen started too fast and completely blew up, she had no idea where she was in the race but surely somewhere in the back, she was extremely happy to have finished the race. Then the interviewer told her that she actually finished 28th and she basically burst in tears for minutes because she was so sure she was far behind!

 

Somewhere in between: "I also think I lost a toenail but if that's the price, I'll pay it!"
