Auto Racing Discussion Thread

former autosport driver and multiple paralympic champion Alex Zanardi earlier today suffered a terrible accident with his handbike (apparently, he crashed against a truck :yikes:  ) and now he's in grave life danger...

right now he's having a very complicated neurological operation after suffering a hard head trauma...

c'mon, man! if there's someone who can survive something like this, it's you! :fingers:

Yep, this was a better weekend to see what both he and Askew have been showing for a few years already. Both have already made a rookie mistake now, luckily it's their rookie season :p

:NZL Scott Dixon goes 3 for 3 in Road America Race 1. Championship looks as good as over already. Newgarden stalled in the pits after leading half of the race and finished 14th. Race 2 is tomorrow.

:ESP Alex Palou gets the best rookie finish of the season in 3rd!

That third place of Palou is crazy, he wasn't really there in the beginning...then suddenly he was all the way up there and never let go :d Even out-smarted veteran Hunter-Reay....had to give that back, and out-smarted him again in the exact same place (but different way!) the very next chance he got

Road America Race 2 starts in ca. 40 minutes. It's always tough to predict the green flag time in these US races :p

They have 2,5 hour window before Kentucky NASCAR Cup race starts.

The green flag time they give in the schedule is generally pretty much correct though :p

But yeah, silly Americans and their incredibly inconsistent start times all the time
