ofan 238 Posted February 11, 2018 #81 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Robichaud with a slow run, but still good enough for second! Canada 1 and 2 right now!

OlympicsFan 858 Posted February 11, 2018 #85 Share Posted February 11, 2018 At the one hand i am happy that the german athlete finished 13th, on the other hand i am a bit sad that she missed the next round by only 0.9 points against a russian athlete. Two questions for the people who follow the competition: 1) Was it a fair result? How far would you say is the german athlete away from top 6, do you think she might ever get there? 2) How many athletes advance to the 3rd round? Can we assume that Laffont will make it? (I predicted gold for her) Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.
OlympicsFan 858 Posted February 11, 2018 #86 Share Posted February 11, 2018 I just learnt that the german athletes don't get any public funding, so i think this result is good, is it safe to say that canadian athletes get a lot of funding? (I predicted gold for her) I can't speak to number 1 because I did not see her run, but depending on her age, that is a great finish and could bode well for 2022. For the second question, the top 6 move onto the final round.

Yes, we have a great youth development program for freestyle skiing in Ontario and Quebec, especially in moguls.
ofan 238 Posted February 11, 2018 #90 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Wow! Shocking that Kauf did not advance. Final will have 2 Canadians, 2 Aussies, 1 Kazakh and 1 French athlete competing for the medals
