Argentina defeats Mexico 78-74 in a game that include an interruption due to a malfunction in the nets' wiring system or something like that.

Congrats to the Argentinian team. :yes

Now Mexico must win their remaining Games if they want to keep their hopes of qualifying.

Did not expected for :LTU to win over :CRO We were missing almost all of our top players, while Croatia had 4 NBA players in the line-up.

Overall -  a lot of surprising standings in all groups so far and a lot of good teams are struggling against underdogs.

A huge mess is happening with FIBA World Cup qualification match today. So the Virgin Islands team didn't know visas were necessary to enter Brazil, but after an effort by the Brazilian Basketball Confederation + the Brazilian Olympic Committee, visas were send to the athletes (who were in Caracas after as match versus Venezuela) and everything was fine... except that yesterday the Virgin Islands team missed their connection flight in Colombia and can't possibly arrive on time for the match in Brazil. Which means Brazil will win the match by w/o

    • I still shocks, that a country of 4-5 million inhabitants? can be a powerhouse in almost every winter sport + handball, football (most recently with Haaland) and athletics: Ingebrigtsen, Warholm, etc. With such a small population, they can't be missing out on any major talent, surely? This must be the best training system in the world...
