Šimić's form varies a lot. One year she's good but then comes a year like this when she struggles to jump 1.90.

 

Anyway, I remember that she only jumped the opening height at London 2012 qualification, but 2 years after she was at the Euro podium. Maybe she'll again improve next year.

I love how so many athletes are attempting doubles this year (even some who don't have much expectations for medals in any). It reminds me of past times when it seemed to be more common place .

If PPP gets his transfer rounded out, with Duranona, Copello and three Cubans, half the final in 2019 might be 'Cuban'
