So finishing in top 24 does not guarantee anything, Thanks
intoronto 4,524 Posted March 30, 2017 #32 Share Posted March 30, 2017 Canada officially qualifies 3 pairs For ice dance and women's its almost certain 3 quotas each. For the men if Kevin Reynolds moves up there would be 3 there as well. I cannot recall the last time a country had a full quota for the Olympics... dcro 10,192 Posted March 30, 2017 Author #33 Share Posted March 30, 2017 Looks like the situation is pretty much set. The only change from yesterday is that France gains one quota while USA loses one. Nice gift for the second French pair that finished second to last. #banbestmen

To win 2 qualification they have to score max. 28 points and 8(James/Cipres)+27(Esbrat/Novoselov)=35. So France's quota should go to Czech Republic

If a counting pair fails to qualify for free skate they get 18 points by default. #banbestmen

Czech Republic is unfortunately first under the line, they will still have a decent chance to qualify in Septembers Oberstdorf final qualification with 4 last quotas for 4 non already qualified countries to be distribued. and keep in mind, that in figure skating the unused quotas are reallocated, so if Germany and France will not use their 2nd quotas - very likely btw - CZE will be in directly

It will be much more clear and right if points were the same as places
