I wanted to attend, but the stupid local organizers only offered tickets for the whole series, not individual games... cheapest tickets for the series are at 177 USD and the priciest at 1560 USD

Still crossing my fingers, that not all tickets are sold to try and catch one of the games or the pool final.

Does this have any significance for the Olympics btw? :p

only indirectly...

I mean, this tournament gives (many) points for the World Ranking, which is the only things that matters for the participation to the 2019 Premier 12 tournament (which is the only qualifying event for Tokyo 2020, at least for what we know until now...the final qualification path is still to be officially confirmed, however)

Wow, maybe Israel could beat the Kingdom of the Netherlands and become the best European team. :mumble:

I don't think they can beat NED (if NED play at their best), but for sure they're not joking...today they also destroyed Chinese Taipei, which is another big surprise...

and if NED can do the same (beat the Asians, I mean), both "European" teams will go through to the next round (and their match ups will be just useless tests)...

Damn, these would have been great chances to bet on Israel if it was more known that these players were actually very good, since the bookmakers underestimated them strongly :p

Too late now.

    • Oops. I must have misunderstood. I could have sworn I saw her jogging in a field of other men. I assumed she had caught up to some of the slower men. (I admittedly wasn't watching closely.)
    • The women started earlier, it was a race without any men participating.
    • Looking forward to this competition starting tomorrow! Will be nice to see some other countries participate. USA women start with Namibia tomorrow.
    • This came out on the official website yesterday. Updated list of events and competition schedules in Japanese.   Padel and Teqball are on the schedules. Looks like two events for Padel and five for Teqball.   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会競技プログラム.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会デイリースケジュール.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会セッションスケジュール.pdf   On the sports programme PDF, Padel is #25 and Teqball is #38.
    • looks like the agreement is the international federations are in fact hosting the event, not the AG organizers, so everything is up to them to make it happen.   Teqball is now confirmed to have 5 events (singles and doubles) does it mean easy 5 gold medals for Thailand ?   Padel is not 100% confirmed yet. I assume there are still talks ongoing between the IF and the Japanese organizers.
    • I feel like this year's Eurovision is more wide open than ever 😂   There isn't a clear favorite, and that makes everything more exciting. Finland is looking strong, sure, but Ukraine always knows how to surprise people and connect with them. I was checking out the odds a bit, and I was struck by how quickly they're rising.   By the way, I found a site that compares the odds pretty clearly: https://casasdeapuestaseurovision.com/   It’s nothing special, but it gives you an idea of how things are shaping up before the semifinals. Although we all know how this goes… at Eurovision, everything can change in a matter of minutes
