Yes, our wrestling federation has confirmed that we have received an unused host quota, meaning that we can expect 3 more nations to qualify.

Congrats ! also quota for Czech Republic in womens -63kg for Adela Hanzlíčková. http://oh.idnes.cz/zapasnice-hanzlickova-pojede-na-olympijske-hry-fry-/rio-2016.aspx?c=A160713_195519_olympiada-rio-2016_tof

lol what a joke, everybody get quota ! what about those 5 additional quotas ? will IOC let UWW to have 5 more wrestlers in Rio ?!

Well, it's only fair that UWW follows its own rules set in qualification system. And QS says that unused host quotas will go to either tripartite nations or highest ranked unqualified nations from 2015 Worlds.

Anyway, it would have been so unfair if nations that were hoping to get unused host quotas had to pay for the mess UWW made with doping disqualifications.

Btw, tennis went 20+ athletes overboard, UWW has nothing to worry about.

Don't worry athletics is looking to have almost 200 overboard and that's assuming Russia will still be (mostly) banned.

UWW website is down now, but when it works you can read this link

https://unitedworldwrestling.org/article/vinod-kumar-receives-four-year-ban-olympic-spot-to-new-zealand

the Australian wrestler Vinod Kumar failed the test, giving the spot to Craig Miller of New Zealand, I wonder if NZL accepts this, this guy Miller is winning the quota without winning a single match ! :d

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
