World's gone mad, Karel Abraham qualifies in 2nd place in a rainy MotoGP qualifying in Argentina, wow! :hyper::bowdown:

His best ever results were one 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th place in qualifying and now he takes 2nd :d

Nicky Hayden has been involved in a crash in Italy, while training by bike (not a motorbike) he was hit by a car. Apparently he's in a very serious, critical condition...

Let's hope we won't get some terrible news within the next hours..

The crashes with cyclists around Europe are increasing in alarming rates. :(

hopefully his life isn't under threat anymore...even if he's in very serious conditions (multiple abdominal trauma and severe concussion)...

he has been moved to a renomated brain treatment/surgery specialized hospital in Cesena...

here are some pictures from the accident's location...

EDIT: according to some late news (unofficial sources directly from the Bufalini Hospital in Cesena), Nicky's life is still in danger...it looks that the situation is worse than expected...

unfortunately, Nicky Hayden's conditions are not improving...

as reprted by the latest bulletin from the Cesena Hospital, he has multiple trauma in his head with severe brain damages...

moreover, he also has multiple fractures in his legs and pelvis and he's too weak to be operated to give him some relief from the cranial hematoma, which is at the moment his main problem, the most life threatening...

poor Nicky! :(:cry::fingers:

I wish those fractures were important... :( (that would mean there are no worse things to focus on, which there of course are now.. )

Nothing good coming out of all this so far.

Turn 2-3 in Moto3 resulted in a crash in the 1st lap between Norrodin, Kornfeil, Dalla Porta and Suzuki. Riders ok, bikes were cleared and no need for a red flag or anything....until the field came back around one lap later and discovered there was still a little bit of oil, so this happened :yikes:

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
    • Wisła Płock just assumed 1st position after five consecutive draws. Must be first time ever a team on a five match winless streak actually moves up to league top.
    • Well ya, which is why the Egyptian and Iranian teams can shut up and dribble :P
    • The problem is, the World Cup is not a local event. Overall it's another storm in a teacup. LGBT rights in Muslim countries won't change a damn inch becuse of one soccer match in Seattle
