^The thing about equestrian is that the kids won't use their own horses but ones provided by the organization, so the results will be pretty random to an extent.

Argentina released the team list today (I won't post it cuz it's too long and nobody here is really interested in it :d).

We'll have 141 athletes participating in all sports except for Acrobatic Gymnastics and Diving.

The flag bearer will be Dante Cittadini (sailing, Nacra 15). IMO a bit unfair that his girl partner with whom he has won many titles recently isn't also picked as "joint-flag bearer", but whatever, our NOC aren't the brightest minds...

this is the complete list of qualified athletes in Karate

https://www.wkf.net/news-center-new/list-of-karatekas-for-buenos-aires-2018-confirmed/794/

they gave one more quota to Iran I don't know based on what ?! re-allocation ? which means Iran can have 5 (out of 6 possible) athletes. only Japan has more.

    • Suspect this will have major consequences for the Paralympics going forward. Could see a collation of countries wanting to set up up a rivial movement,
    • This is the rule of FIFA : If Iran withdraw  Iraq will qualify even if they lose  If they win Emirats will qualify
    • We will need a lot od changes in our staff after this season and I hope our federation will have the money for that`s. Unfortunately, your staff and ski services blew almost the entire Olympics and now we're still in the same situations. Due to their terrible form, we won 1/2 fewer medals than we actually did. Our team has skis on par with Moldova or Kazakhstan – shame!
    • Anning is not here but the new 400 meters format is (2x final heats of 4 athletes each, combined times decide podium).   Natalia Bukowiecka absolutely blasted it and I guess that's a popular feeling among athletes
    • Team selected.  Quite a strong one.   Men 60m - Jeremiah Azu, Jody Smith 800m - Ben Patterson 1500m - Jack Higgins, James McMurray* 3,000m - Josh Kerr* Heptathlon - Lewis Church* High jump - Joel Clarke Khan* Pole vault - Owen Heard* Shot put - Scott Lincoln*   Women 60m - Dina Asher-Smith, Amy Hunt 60m hurdles - Abigail Pawlett*, Emma Nwofor* 400m - Yemi Mary John, Louisa Stoney* 800m - Issy Boffey, Keely Hodgkinson 1500m - Georgia Hunter Bell, Jemma Reekie 3,000m - Hannah Nuttall, Katie Snowden* Pentathlon - Abigail Pawlett*, Ellen Barber* Pole vault - Molly Caudery* Long jump - Molly Palmer* Triple jump - Georgina Forde-Wells* 4x400m relay - Poppy Malik, Louisa Stoney, Tess McHugh, Jazmine Moss (plus athletes selected for individual events)   *Selected subject to securing the required world ranking position     https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/athletics/articles/c3dzzdzlmxvo
