they didn't do anything also in cadet WCH , i don't think this's just a bad luck in the draw

that's right but you also can't compare of the level of WCH with here. in World Champs we have something like 20 wrestlers in each weight. half of them are good to win a medal. while here we have 6 and there are 1 or 2 very weak wrestlers in each weight. of course this is still hard to win the gold because we have top 2 of the world in each weight but sometimes the 3rd medal goes to someone not-that-good.

I mean in this level of the competition. Egypt deserved at least 1 or maybe 2 medals in wrestling.

there's no update for total scores in official site in athletics , so u have to bring a calculator and count after each attempt in throwing events the rankings ! Athletics for me is the most annoying event in this Olympics

No where, I was looking at the scores. Two judges had Canadian 30-27 when I looked but it has changed (so probably an error).

Looks like they changed the boxing format as well for boys'

The best two qualified boxers are seeded and will compete first in the Preliminary Round 2. There is a random draw for the four other boxers (unseeded) for the Preliminary Round 1. The winners of the Preliminary Round 1 will progress to the Semifinals; the losers will box against the seeded boxers in the Preliminary Round 2. The winners of the Preliminary Round 2 will progress to the Semifinals; the losers will box for fifth place. The losers of the Semifinal bouts will compete for the bronze medal, and the winners will advance to the final bout. The winner is awarded the gold medal and the loser the silver medal.

    • A bit of a mixed session for  GB.   The Women's Team Pursuit blew up in the final and were lucky to avoid the overlap. Worth saying the GB were the only medalist that didn't make use of their substitute rider - probably not surprising given the substitute was Lauren Bell. Still a second-tier team was good enough to take a silver.   The Men's Team Pursuit had a nightmare day. Having crashed in the first qualifying run, they did enough on the rerun to get to the 1st round where they did step up and qualify for the bronze medal match. They kept it close against China for the first half before fading pretty badly to finish 4th.   I was a bit surprised that the Women's Team Sprint were beaten by China. They were leading by 0.2 seconds after Bell and Finucane had completed their laps but it looked like Parris-Smith was just way too far back.   The standout was the Men's Team Sprint. I thought they were going to have to settle for the silver but somehow managed to pull it out of the bag in the final lap.        I definitely picked the wrong section of the crowd though - caught between two competing locals. One vocally anti-China, accusing them of cheating and booing every time they were on the track. At one point he was singing God Save the King and Rule Britannia. In the end he was asked to leave.    Biggest cheer of the night was for  Lee Sze Wing's silver in the elimination race.
