Host cities were assigned to certain groups long before the draw. Group J composed from Dallas/SF/Kansas so it should be final. -

Myhlback looked great, especially on that final turn. Veteran move to cut that corner and power himself from 5th to a podium spot. Really hoping to continue to see more of him. -

After 2015 was created a list of suspicious people from Ukraine who support Russia, or something like that? For example, people from Ukraine who played for sports clubs in Russia were included there, and by 2022, there were still quite a few such people. She comes from Luhansk, which was probably the most pro-Russian city in all of Ukraine. It's strange, though, that she fled to Kyiv in 2014 and continued start for Ukraine after 2022. She must have been in hiding well, right? It's very strange, because she knew perfectly well that the case would be exploited politically. I doubt she will ever compete in any diving competitions again. Long tim ago, such movements were quite popular, both in different directions, but this stopped after 2015. In the past, many Russians in biathlon would go to Ukraine if they didn't make the national team and in the mid-1990s, a few Ukrainian footballers went to play in Russia, in volleyball etc. -

She probably will 1 reserve in 5000. There is still 1 World Cup left, but the top 9 seems secure + 3 people with the fastest times: Ger, Chn, Ain- Blr. We'll see if Zueva (Ain) will be allowed to start- she is the 2nd fastest skater for today. -
Violette Braun 6'57 over 5000m is the best ever u20 time at sea-level. She's now very close to clinching a spot at the Olympics in the 3000m, which would be the first time a Frenchwoman qualified since 1988. What is more impressive is that 14 months ago, her name was absent of any speed skating database, as she had never started a race on ice of her life.
