Biathlon at the Winter Olympic Games Milano Cortina 2026

GRANDE LORA :hyper:    Still can't believe this actually happened.

No one was of course expecting to medal in biathlon, one of the most competitive winter sports. A regular top 10 seemed impossible with the awful season we were having.

Even our commentator, who is one of the best sporting journalists we have period, and has commentated biathlon for over 20 years was very emotional and started crying. He said, he never believed he would get the chance to commentate an Olympic medal for :BUL in his lifetime, as he wasn't on deck in 1998 & 2002, but here we are.

Also, damn you Frenchies, couldn't you miss some more once in a while :d

Didn't expect to see the best winter Olympics for :BUL since 1998, but it's been a thrill to see y'all do so well.

In Salt Lake City we :BUL won 3 medals - 1 silver and 2 bronze, so someone from among Vladimir Zografski in ski jumping or Albert Popov in slalom or why not someone from among the biathletes needs to win gold so that we can declare the games in Milano the best winter Olympics since 1998. All we can do is wish for it and hope for it. :fingers:

WTF :yikes:

I commented she had 'quite a bit of luck', but this is something else :d

It made all the difference in the world for her, but no difference at all for Franch fans, as she would have finished 2nd behind Jeanmonnot.

Popov is one of my favourite slalom specialists, but I'm afraid he won't stand much of a chance on such a flat slope.

Can i ask how does it calculated? I know the logic: medalists, top 15, best results from all of three disciplínes. But how is calculated results from these 3 disciplínes. For example: individual 60th place, sprint 20th, pursuit 20th: Is it same as 80th place, 10th and 10th?

Thank you, I was not sure of how it works when more than 4 athletes of the same country are in the WC top 15 (:NOR for men and :FRA for women)

In that case, the athlete with the 80th, 10th and 10th place finishes would be ranked higher because their best finish of 10th place is higher than the other athletes best finish of 20th place.
