Athlos meet tonight from NYC starts in a few hours.  Unlike your actual New York sandwiches, it's going to be lots of bread and very little filling.

 

Other big event of the weekend will be the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, which is live on.Discovery etc.

I understand her choice. McLaughlin will definitely be running the 400m flat and 400m hurdles in LA, so why wouldn't Bol try something different? I'm afraid the Dutch relay teams have seen their best days, though.

Plenty of 800m runners have won relays, used to be a standard thing.

Tony Two Laps has an Olympic silver and a World Relays gold, I wouldn't worry too much about that in regards to Bol's participation

she's literally trying the extreme move to escape McLaughlin's strangle hold (we all know that in LA she'll go for the double 400m/400m HS)

With SML within striking distance of Marita Koch's WR Femke Bol must realize the OG gold medal is out of her reach in LA so why not trying 800? We saw Keely H. is beatable and Bol has the kick to win golds in 'slower' 800 races which is often the case at championships event.

 

Poland can relate to 400H convert Patryk Dobek winnng bronze in Tokyo 800m and he was nowhere near the talent Bol is

Looks like Birmingham 2026 is at risk of being cancelled as Birmingham is not safe to host events anymore according to its own police force.

Listen I'll bet you the price of a roundtrip from Seattle to Birmingham (England, not Alabama) that I can gallivant about there for an entire month without any issue.

Who else is bidding for 2029. I don’t see London being viable as I think the stadium will be gone by then or at least not able to handle athletics - West Ham are likely to eventually buy the stadium before then and remove Athletics from it (UK Athletics meets will be based in Birmingham I suspect)
