It was China who protested, Rodney apparently was on the lane line (which is now alowed since 2021)

Haha sorry we don’t need to cheat to win like they do

So, Canada officially ties its best ever non-boycotted gold medal total!

And later today, no matter what happens, Canada will tie its best ever non-boycotted total medal count.

Now let's break those records!

And only one gold medal that I feel was a real upset (the men's 4x100m)

Well, we didn't have Summer in Tokyo. That's really the difference.

I feel like there was an exceptional amount of surprises this time compared to last, and an exceptional amount of disappointments compared to last.

By the way, decided to look this up.

Degrasse becomes the first OC flag bearer to win gold in that Olympics since Caroline Waldo did it in 1988.

Wait. Didn’t Rosie carry the flag in 2016?

Whoops, you got me! I thought she was the closing one.

Fine, how about this instead:

Degrasse becomes the first MALE OC flag bearer to win gold at those Olympics since Alex Baumann in 1984.
