wont affect us but china are making a right mess of high bar

Might it make us fourth and not fifth?

Just showed also a medal was there for the taking but they didn’t quite deliver on the promise qualifying showed.  A failure in my eyes.

But we did drop from a relatively comfortable third in qualifying. I was optimistic about getting a bronze here.

Let’s hope for a swimming medal or two this evening.

No chance.

Sadly we have gone backwards in this event - we would have medalled in Rio and Tokyo if Russia had been banned.

I think 4th to 4th isn't that bad. The story is :USA really strong.

Slightly off topic, but looking back getting more golds than China in 2016 was absolutely ridiculous. Still think about it sometimes.

Oh man - you've just fed the troll. I'd give it 10-15 minutes before he's launching into a diatribe about Chinese doping and how GB athletes will be protesting if they have to share a podium.

At least the USA are barely in the men’s apparatus finals. Through China will have a point to prove as well

Something I've felt about these Games so far: the atmosphere looks electric. Marchand, and now this among the highlights. "USA! USA! USA!" for a bronze in gymnastics.
