:GRE Anastasia Boumpoulidi gold medal in pole vault

So now we had 4 medals here, all in women's field events, two of them gold! :yes

Good to see the future of Greek women's pole vaulting is in good hands. Iliana Triantafyllou won gold at the last edition of this Championships as well.

Wow just saw Ireland won gold in the hammer with Thomas Williams :yikes:

With 20 year old Nicole Tuthill already qualified to Paris maybe we are going to resurrect our tradition of great hammer throwers of the past. New generation of Irish whales :d

We also won our first medal in discus too

It wasn’t that long ago that we didn’t have a field event athlete at any level!

Not a memorable tournament for the :NED squad at all, with only a bronze for Madelief van Leur in the 400m and a bunch of top 8 performances. Mostly on the women's side.

I feel like we've got a decent amount of talent to replenish the 4x400m squad on the women's side, with Myrte van der Schoot and Britt de Blauw currently preparing for the step up to senior level and Madelief van Leur and Zoe van Gils (5th in 400mH) performing well at the U18 level. Meanwhile on the men's side there is barely any talent coming through since Isaya Klein Ikkink (21 years old).

In the women 800m final, 4 girls ran faster than the Championship Best!

Despite it being the messiest race for the British fav. Can’t believe she almost won given the trouble she got herself in. Was a very entertaining watch!
