Congrats to those brazilian fans who werent completely unfair, you could really see how important this match was for them. Its great how far we have come with this team and without preparation, i think this was a good lesson for some of our players who might play for our national team in the future, this was a good preparation for bigger things to come.

Congrats to Brazil!!!! I was expecting a "revenge", but Germsny has quite a team, they're future looks really bright indeed!

Not a 7-1, but still a sweet win, and a deserved Gold medal!

Would be nice to know how the brazilian fans feel about it, does that make up for the loss in 2014?

It was a fun tournament for Germany, although the result wasnt really important, because a lot of young players were able to train for the national team and to show whether they are ready to play for the national team or not. I am glad for our coach Horst Hrubesch who will retire now and i hope that we will try to qualify again in 2020 and maybe then this will be an official FIFA tournament, so that all nations will be able to play with their best team.

The players are different, the scope of the tournament is also very different, so I believe there's not really much to compare other than the teams being Brazil and Germany. So, everybody is celebrating the gold medal for what it is, while the loss to Germany will remain what it is, as well. Very few people, if any, take the 7-1 seriously in Brazil. It has become a huge joke and everybody laughs at it. Here in Brazil we make fun of everything, including ourselves.

feel sorry for :HON but the Nigerians also have no easy task just to play here, so I appreciate both sides.

And although I'm a big fan of Germany, I'm glad Brazil win and there is no 2nd Maracanazo :p

    • So I was watching a replay of China-Germany in between Canada’s game against Sweden and this one against Italy and… it seems like China cheated during it which could’ve been critical in them winning the match?    During the 1st end, Xu with his last rock had an easy hit for the single against three German stones. One of the sweepers for China (I can’t tell which one, this team is quite new to me) “accidentally” kicked their own stone, which redirected one of their own stones into the rings, and Germany only got the steal of 2. HIS FUCKING FOOT IS TOUCHING THE ROCK   Now after, Team Xu was claiming that the stone was picked (it was not) and Muskatewitz was arguing that it couldn’t possibly have been picked. China wouldn’t admit it, and they ended up winning the game 10-9. BOO.    Hope these cheaters don’t qualify for the Olympics.
    • Edin usually has mediocre seasons though (that being said this has been worse than usual), then really starts to show up for Worlds. He’s only won 4 GSOC events in his career.     They’re at a 4-2 record at the moment, so seems to be the case again. Plus, they played really well in their loss to Canada.
    • I'm in tears, finally I have access after months. For some reason I can only enter the site from my phone. Surely it must be a problem with my home internet connection.
    • With a week to go till the deadline for the world invitational, the rosters look beefy for the discus on both sides.24 entries for the men[19 accepted in so far] and 25 for the women[18 accepted so far] For the men so far there are three 70 meter throwers[i count Denny as that since it's just 4 centimeters off his pb]10 from mid 66 to low 69,three of 65 and over, four from almost 64 to almost 65.On the women's side the 18 accepted throwers all have a pb of over 60 meters.11 of them have  pbs over 64 plus.of the ones still not there besides Valerie and Yaime who have been marketed so i can only assume they will join, such names as  Sandra Elkasevic,Bin Feng, and jordine van klinken aren't signed up yet, jordine's probably the most likely of them to join in tough feng would be a cool surprise,i somehow don't see Sandra doing this, but it would be awesome if she did.Stahl and ceh aren't in yet on the men's side, ceh has been marketed while stahl hasn't been mentioned at all,[pretty sure stahl will not be there],Lukas[last name is too wild for me to even try] and lawrence okoye aren't there yet either but i'm betting both will be joining in.
    • What a shame. That would have been amazing.
    • It's complete American domination in the women's discus rankings so far this year, they occupy the top 4 slots, and the WORST result of those four was achieved at Ramona .Third place currently belongs to Ciera Jackson who had a huge almost 4 METER pr at the west coast relays on friday-64.42[previous best was 60.77 from march of 2023,and she opened her season a week ago with at that time her second best result ever of 60.14]she also had a 63.66 throw to back this new pb up,and finally with her new personal best she took down the school record that stood for 36 YEARS[Btw Valerie Allman actually competed in Ramona on march 30th but conditions were apparently far from ideal and she fouled four times and her best was a 63.61,i don't doubt that in the event that she competes in the  world intational, the conditions will be perfect,i wouldn't be so bold as to say she wouldl get the world record but for sure i think she could get a new personal best.
    • So after finding this this morning     I started to search for more news about the date and ticket prices all over the world web !   I found this then       to just notice later that   it was April fools     so yeah, that was my day
