we won't improve our total number of fighters after this tournament, as expected

surely our best boxers were already qualified, but still we have to regret that infamous robbery at the 2023 European Games, where Federico Serra was denied by a bunch of clearly corrupted judges, who actually destroyed his career, as he has never been the same fighter after that day

As far as your arrogance too

Still around here, baba yaga?

If the lights light up exactly at the correct moment, he was definitely first, since his light went on first. Not sure if those lights are 100% accurate though?

Considering almost every close 3-2 decision at the last qualification tournament went against Irish fighters, that's a pretty ridiculous statement. And Rio 2016 our fighters were on the end of a lot of robberies too, and there's been plenty more over the years. I didn't see the Walsh Zakhariev fight so I can't comment on that fight specifically, but being upset because your fighter lost a bout which you feel they should have won is no reason to make blanket, inaccurate statements. Boxing judging has always been a source of contention given how subjective it is, personally I feel the scoring system for London 2012 was the best I can remember and I wish they had stuck with that.

Here is video

So you will be able to evaluate (interestingly, that comments to the video during livestream are in favour of blue corner) ))

No blanket statements, of course, but this bout was robbed, as for me. (edit. we lost 4 bouts today, but this one is not OK)

I would say - the best system was in 2008, when the scores were shown live during the rounds to everyone.

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places.
