A pool like this is such a disadvantage for a swimmer like Popovici but he somehow still managed to get it done. I'd have been super pissed if he lost with how much of a favourite he was coming in.

Though American legend Johnny Weissmuller, who was winning Gold medals at the Paris Olympics 100 years ago, was born in Austro-Hungarian town Freidorf, which is part of Romania in present day. :p And that is your weird history lesson for today.
