I take a light prescription sleeping pill, because otherwise I couldn't sleep. For example, yesterday I had to save myself with this :P

I remember Vezzali's rivalry with Aida Mohamed back in the 90s. Back then, only Europe mattered in women's foil.

Since nobody mentioned him yet, just want to give a mention to :JPN Tomoyuki Matsushita who set a PB by 1.5 seconds to get silver behind :FRA Marchand in the 400 IM including beating "guaranteed silver medalist" :USA Carson Foster. Japanese swimmers have had a tendency to underperform at the big meets so it's nice to see him step up to the occasion.

      That was known from the start for  and will be planned for.   Sadly just the reality of sports in North America. Canada and the US are both huge, a flight from Vancouver to Halifax or from Seattle to Miami is north of five hours. Every sports league in North America has to deal with this kind of travel logistics in the regular, so none of this will seem particularly unusual to a North American player.

      That's so they can play in both venues in Canada.  Will mean that the UEFA Path A winner has to go from Toronto to Los Angeles and then up to Seattle.   Someone was bound to draw the short straw in that group since 4 of the matches are Central, but 2 are in Santa Clara.  Unfortunately, that's Algeria.
