Any idea when the start lists for the heats are going to be published?

I don't know but swimming heats are usually done with same formula.

Circle seeded heats divide the top athletes (based on entry time) into either 2 or 3 heats in alternating order. So assuming there's no scratches, we can expect the circle seeded heats of the events on day 1 to look something like this.

Strangely enough, I don't think the majority of the world reads 'Sportetsociete' regularly. Is there evidence it was reported in any other countries?

Smart ass that much, right ? The 'majority of the world' couldn't give a single fuck about the depth of an olympic swimming pool, only armchair experts that wake up two days before the Oympics do (well, pretend to do), but it is of zero importance obviously. It was not like it was a kept secret that would have been magically revealed right before the Olympics. IOC, FINA, national federations perfectly knew about the depth of the pool for years, and none of them ever complained about it, specialy as it was in line with the then regulations.

Ya, that's the thing. It's not the ideal depth for a competition pool, but it's absolutely within what is allowed for a competition pool. It's fine, it's not a scandal, there are always some compromises that are made when it comes to Olympic venues.

There will probably be more and more (see rowing in 2028 for exemple). We are past the time when hosts were building 10+ new permanent venues for the Olympics.

Are they willing to risk having their medals stripped??

The chances of the IOC doing that are very slim. Unless they want 2028 cancelled.

This swimming arena is the only newly constructed venue in Paris 2024. For other sports, existing venues or spaces are utilised.

No, you're mixing up with the WP/Diving pool. The Paris La Defense Arena that host the swimming competition was built in 2017.

No, the swimming is hosted in an existing arena using a temporary pool. The new aquatic centre is hosting diving, water polo and artistic swimming.
