A good day for :IRI Iran, as they make 2 more finals. Especially the 67 kg one was spectacular with a reverse pinfall, when the Iranian was counted out.

And a good day for :UKR making 2 gold medal finals - but one for :BUL;)

Hope both Novikov and Beleniuk will win their big and small fimals tomorrow!

Yes, i am very happy for him. Looked very relieved after the match, as that was some serious battle. Lady luck covered him too, as the :HUN wrestler had the upper hand most of the match. :IRI Iran is the favorite in the final of course, but whatever happens it is a big success.

    • Fonseca x Rublev =/   It will be very good for him to face a top 10 but probably his first win in a GS will be in Rolland Garros haha
    • Aaaand the aforementioned  Gaia Brunello has put down a 36th place in Arber today, 2:35 minutes behind the winner, resulting in 116 IBU points. For World Cup qualification one needs an average of under 150 at the end of a trimester...or one result of under 125 in the current or previous trimester, so if I'm not mistaken, she has immediately qualified for next week's World Cup!   Great start. We are definitely hoping she stays in biathlon only and this start helps
    • This is the most incompatible with my sleeping schedule tennis event ever but I will still watch it.  I've seen a few qualifying games but time to step up my tennis watching with the main draw.

    • Draws are now out: https://ausopen.com/draws   As usual, some intriguing first round matchups.   ‪Osaka/Garcia and Gauff/Kenin are the main ones that stand out on the women’s side, while for the men it’s Hurkacz/Griekspoor, Dimitrov/Fognini and Monfils/Mpetshi Perricard, but there’s so many quality matchups that it’s tough to only pick a couple. I’m interested to see who Fonseca draws as a Q, that’ll be a matchup players want to avoid.
