That sounds like a massive blow for the Korean medal chances :yikes:

They were seeded 5th and got the worst of it.

Have you ever wondered why is Romania 4th seed while India is unseeded?

We came close to beating Romania in the previous Olympic cycle. This cycle we have been far better and one of the two teams that dragged China to 5 matches at World Team Championship. Even a South Korean user above didn't consider Romania for 4th.

India's top ranked player Manika Batra has beaten Romania top ranked player Bernadette Szocs 3 times in their last 4 meetings.

India's 2nd and 3rd ranked player is higher ranked than Romania's 2nd and 3rd ranked player.

So 4th seed vs unseeded will not matter for India.

Imagine having only 1 Table Tennis player qualified to the games and the guy got the top seeded Chinese already in 1st Round ... I still don´t believe how lucky we are generally in sport lately:facepalm:

The goal to make at least last 16 is now obviously gone, it will be one match and return home... oh well, I really believe luck will must come at least once even to us sometime later

    • Totallympics Annual International Song Contest 2025      Thank you Slovenia! Argentina get their second 12 points of this year's contest to keep their hopes of a podium finish very much alive.   Big points also for Italy who become the 3rd nation to breach the 100-point barrier and they close the gap to France in 2nd.   That concludes the third session of this year's TISC Annual. Ireland maintain the lead as they have from the very start of the contest. Their lead now stands at 28 points which is sizeable though not insurmountable with 8 juries still to vote, including Ireland.   We will take a 1 hour 30 minute break now and will resume the fourth and final session at 19:00 GMT.      Juries Voted: 26/34    1  Ireland 2 136  18  Guatemala   53  2  France 4 108  19  Netherlands   51  3  Italy 11 102  20  Tunisia   50  4  Argentina 12 96  21  Denmark   49  5  Romania   85  22  Poland   48  6  Albania 9 85  23  Sweden 1 46  7  Spain   84  24  Lithuania 3 45  8  Germany 7 84  25  Malta 5 43  9  Canada   74  26  Turkey 10 43  10  Mexico   73  27  Greece   37  11  Serbia   66  28  Slovenia   36  12  Kazakhstan 8 65  29  China   34  13  Portugal   65  30  Bulgaria   32  14  Great Britain 6 63  31  Indonesia   30  15  United States   62  32  Slovakia   28  16  Ukraine   57  33  Brazil   28  17  Israel   55  34  India   15
