And Lytvynenko is out in rep. without losing a single point at the whole tournament like Bilodid. No questions - Ma was a bit more active. But these decisive passivity point makes judo close to that infamous 1:1 matches in Greco-Roman

To be fair, it is deserved, there was just really nothing at all going on...

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

By the way, is there any movement going on to try and make judo more attractive again? In so many sports everything has to be shiny and flashy, but in judo the explosive throwing and action of 10+ years ago has made way for today's....well, waiting and fighting each other's hands for the right grip. It has turned from something cool in such a mega low action viewing sport.

I’ve stopped watching Judo, it’s mostly so boring.

And that's bronze for the not at all controversy-free Paltchik.

Edit: last minute penalty and Eich gets the bronze :yikes:

Another edit: Paltchik.... gets his way to bronze after his penalty was waved off

For some reason he got 2 penalties at the same time which is not existing, even Eich was surprised I’m happy they changed this decision and so happy for Peter and Oren his coach who sadly lost both his father and his son in the last few months

Alice Belandi in the final. Vs Lanir.

Lanir won all her bouts by ippon.

Lanir might be the most impressive female judoka so far these Olympics, the way she has been throwing them left and right, hot damn.

Sulamanidze throwing away his gold with a super dumb (and rightful) penalty
