I've heard Chiles was 4 seconds late

It was a matter of seconds, indeed

If the lights light up exactly at the correct moment, he was definitely first, since his light went on first. Not sure if those lights are 100% accurate though?

Sure, an olympic medal is an olympic medal and is very well that Barbosu gained it in the end, but entire world saw what type of refs we have, so nothing change my opinion about them, not even this medal after the apeal. For me those refs remain a big garbages:sick:

I am glad that justice was done, but IOC and FIG should be ashamed to select this kind of refs/judges/jury.

Mistakes they were making were obvious even to untrained eye.

This is so sad.  No matter who gets the bronze there is a sense tainting or lacking leg with the medal.itimacy.  I hope the Romanian doesn't make a brash comment like Jordan did when she was told she had bronze. Everyone be humble, be kind - I don't know how anyone is going to feel good

My understanding is that the USA and Romania agreed to share the medal which was nice - though I feel for the other Romanian who actually now has a higher score than Jordan (and really tied with Ana but loses on tie breaker).  I guess sadly in a way Jordan is tasting the same Medicine Ana had - thinking they had won the bronze medal.  I really did not like Jordan's conduct after doing so well  but I agree unfairly missing the all around due to the two membeer from one country rule - which ironically in part was because back in the day USA was getting beaten by eastern blocks  sweeping the to 10  etc.    I understand she is proud by lilke Noah Lyllles they become rather arrogant, flashy, trashy, boastful a little too enthusiastic so to speak  Undert the circumstances with Ana losing the bronze on such a horrendous way youu would hope Jordan woudl show more class and be more reserved but not Ms.Chiles.  She the woman. She the champ.  No one tells her waht to do or say.   Now the tables may be turned.  I also am not impressed  how these athletes it appears use their family and friends to get sympathy.  Noah Lyle's mommy told the world he had covid during the race explaining his bronze in the 200m and making it a win.  Jordan's sister and mom  are saying they lost the medal because she is black and it is racism.

No matter what happens Jordan is an amaziing athlllete, gymnast and person.  She doesn''t need the bronze; she is a champion.  She even has a gold and she made significant contributions.  Maybe it is time ffor gymnasticcs to rest and give the limelight to others.

Now the issue should she give back the bronze since FIG and IOC said no to sharing.?  Let her keep it and put it in the record books she is fifth.  I mean the bronze medals fall apart anyways.  Maybe Russia can send Jordan one of those special Platinum medals that Evgeni Plushenko got in 2010?

I don’t think there is a precedent for a medal being taken away due to a judging error, and plenty of precedents for it being shared (1992 women’s solo artistic swimming, 2002 pairs figure skating and, most recently and imo most relevant, 2022 women’s ski cross)

    • some changes in the team and less importance to the sport, the two big teams until 2022/2023 ( and ) in south america started to decrease a lot and in the other hand the 3rd in South America () is growing a lot, is really impressive. We are currently the favourites for the LA2028 quota

    • Honestly, it’s not very clear what is happening in Italy — anything could happen. There is extremely high turnout, and no pollster, politician, or newspaper had predicted it; now they’re all there throwing out data. No one has any idea why people voted, also because it was very technical and almost empty polling stations were expected. It will be interesting to understand whether this is a protest vote against the government or a protest vote against the judiciary.
