The crazy Dutch song from Euro is back :p

I can only imagine what would the hosts play if Poland ever wins gold at these Olympics

a) Don’t quite understand why we need 4 medal events for basketball.

b) Don’t quite understand why this is an Olympic event while futsal/beach soccer isn’t.

c) I guess the fact that the Netherlands won a medal shows that this hasn’t much to do with normal basketball.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

a) to phase out normal basketball and leave only 3x3 in the Olympics

b) youth and Bach agenda...

c) True, 3x3 don't have NBA or Euroleague stars, it's far less predictable...

a) Why would they phase out normal basketball, when all the stars attend? If anything they would do this to football.

b) Beach soccer and futsal are as much urban/youth as 3x3 basketball.

c) It is certainly a different sport and for me way less interesting.

I do enjoy it way more than a discipline where every four year we already know who wins the two gold medals... I do agree it feels a bit arbitrary that 3x3 has the olympic status.

a) I think there are bigger issues than 4 medal events for basketball. Like 48 medal events for swimming just to name one

b) I agree, but that's more because I'd be a fan of adding Futsal and beach football

c) I mean that's just a nonsensical argument which I won't even bother to get into
