World Taekwondo had a live stream for the Paralympics tournament yesterday. I assume that they will also stream today.

I know, they are not streaming on YouTube today. It is on the Olympic channel. But only one feed, they keep switching between two mats, which can actually make you miss the game you actually wanna watch. Was waiting for a match of :CZE Adam Jochman and when it was his turn, they switched the feed to the other mat 😅😅  So won't know how it ended and won't see the live result anywhere either 😂😂

it's all live on the Olympic Channel

Only the mat A :p

I had to see Matonti on Instagram.

if she misses the Olympic Quota, she has to be "gonfiata come una zampogna"

she's just 1 win away and she has to face opponents that are not even close to :GER Aydin, who she defeated in the quarterfinals

and in case she loses to :CYP/:SWE, then the 3rd place match vs the loser of the other semi should be a joke or so (in the lower bracket only :ISR is a good fighter, even if they're trying to earn :BUL a shot in all possible ways )

Isn't the 3rd place useless? I remember that there are only 2 quota for each weight.

there wasn't even a single doubtful call in that match, not sure what you are talking about.

feel really sorry for the Bulgarian girl though, she will not forget this defeat for so many years

completely useless

just in case if someone withdraws later or tests positive for doping

which almost never happen in this sport

sorry, my mistake

I thought there were 3 spots per weight, but of course I was wrong

however, after beating Aydin, I'd be very, very upset if Matonti doesn't make it vs :SWE Bodèn

You can add Atanasova to that list as well. Lost the first round in the last second against Hranova after leading 5:3   Then completely gave up in the second round. Both girls had a real shot at earning a quota, but guess this sport is cursed for us... Tokyo QT were the same, just can't make a breakthrough.

    • Even though I'm not the biggest fan of her, always sucks to see a career ending through injury and not on your own terms
    • This is going to have an effect on very likely 0 athletes, possibly 1 or 2 we don't really know about yet. It's really mostly the cheapest possible way for them to make a sort of political statement, without having any significant backlash since it won't really affect anyone at the top level of international sports.   Edit: worded a bit wrong, I was thrown off by everywhere 'trans women' being mentioned as the target of this. Of course there is also the somewhat larger category of DSD and the likes, which will certainly affect a few athletes - unfortunately they are often thrown under the bus or mentioned as 'not really women anyway' or something like that, despite, you know, being.
    • Mary Rand has died aged 86. The first British woman to win a Gold in track and field at the 1964 Tokyo Games (where she also took home a further two medals in the Women’s 4x100m relay and Pentathlon).
    • Athing Mu competed in the USA trials in 2024 and 2025 post the 2023 rule changes. She also won Gold in 2022 and Bronze in 2023.    Jelimo the jury is out. She doesn’t look male like the other two do.
    • People focus on trans people because it's easier to pinpoint the affected athletes. Meanwhile it's the athletes with (suspected) DSDs that will have tougher time to convince the authorities and the public opinion that they belong to women's sports.

    • yes, there are (or there was, at least) don't forget that the women's 800m had world and olympic champions like Semenya, Jelimo and Nyonsaba...basically, it was 10 years of DSD winners only the same Athing Mu was suspected to be DSD (never confirmed, but somehow she totally disappeared after Tokyo) then, there were the 2 girls from Namibia (1 won a medal over 200m in Tokyo) in Italy we have the living scandal Valentina Petrillo (a paralympian!!!), who's actually a real man not to mention the weightlifter from who took part into the Tokyo Games so, it's a real problem all around the globe, not just a US crusade against a few woke idiots
