Yes, he is high in ranking but he didnt fullfill rules about competing in Davis Cup matches.

It is stupid rule. How could he compete? There are not any other Bulgarian player :-D

I only rewrote what was written in the most famous czech website focusing on tennis (tenisportal.cz) They probably did not realize this rule too :-D

Světová desítka Grigor Dimitrov, který musel ve Wimbledonu skrečovat osmifinále proti Daniilu Medveděvovi, má za sebou vyšetření poraněné levé nohy. Kvůli trhlince v odtahovači stehenního svalu si třiatřicetiletý Bulhar musí dát od tenisu na nějaký čas pauzu a je nejisté, zda bude za dva týdny schopný startovat na olympijském turnaji.

In top100 there is no other Bulgarian, yes, but in top500 in total we have 5 Bulgarian players, with Adrian Andreev being ranked 228th in world.

 Alice Degradi, volleyball - serious knee injury. She will be replaced in the next days. The curse of the Olympics for Italian volleyball seems likely to continue.
