We have two new qualifiers on the women's side: :GER Camilla Kemp and :ISR Anat Lelior. :ESP Nadia Erostarbe is now guaranteed an Olympic spot too.

Two more women's quotas remain, :CHN Siqi Yang, :ESP Janire Gonzalez-Etxbarri and :GBR Sky Brown can all qualify by finishing top two in their repechage heat. Not sure who gets the last quota if only one of them advance.

Best score amongst 3rd place finishers in this round, id I’m not mistaken is :CRC  McGonagle

Then, you go to the third place... in the case two elogible surfers are eliminated at the same round, the third place gets a better final position than the fourth one.

In the case both surfer are eliminated on third place, the surfer who scored the most will take the quota

It would go to the athlete with the highest score in their final heat so currently :ESP Lucia Machado (assuming Janire doesn't finish in the top 2)

:CRC McGonagle is now eliminated from Olympic contention, there is no longer any scenario where she has the best third place score while :CRC Hennessy finished top two in her heat.

:ESP Janire Gonzalez-Etxbarri and :CHN Siqi Yang pick up the last two individual women's quotas!

:CHN makes its Olympic debut in surfing.

The only thing left to decide on the women's side is the team quota.

Absolutely pathetic from :GBR Sky Brown. She arsed about for 20 minutes and in the end ran out of time. I really thought we'd pick up a quota here and to miss out like we have done when we were close to having it in the palm of our hands is ridiculous. And it's not like we get a chance to improve at the top level either with the Champions Tour being closed off to the same surfers from the same nations every year.
