Well, scratch the two Austrian races. @brunamoura was supposed to be travelling on Monday morning, but due to the immense amounts of snow and ice everywhere the train services in both the Netherlands and Germany have seen major disruptions everywhere from Sunday morning on. Things are finally getting a little better now, trains to Germany are going again, but it's not yet possible to realistically get all the way to Austria. We have good hopes that it will be possible on Sunday, so nearly a week delay.

Hopefully the World Cup will still be possible, and at least the two Austrian races of this week are by far the least important.

all Wintersport World Cup events scheduled for the next weeks in Norway have been cancelled, from Alpine to Cross-Country Skiing, from Ski-Jumping to Nordic Combined...

and even if there's not official news yet, also Biathlon will be axed soon...

hopefully, a few of them will be rescheduled elsewhere, but I fear many others won't...

Which means the Nations Ranking and so the Olympic quota places coming from there will all be known after the world championships (unless those World Cups are replaced of course) :yikes:

Yeah, Norway cancells everything, meanwhile we had thousands of fans at Super Bowl and at Australian Open fans even don't wear masks

Probably because the last time Australia had more than 100 new cases in a day was September 3rd (they have been down to under 10 new cases a day for a while).

The situation in the US, though... ya, not good.

Huge, huge Brazilian record (FIS points in European snow races, not counting free points in Brazilian rollerski races) for Manex Silva in Austria today!

Presumably it's not going to be enough for him to get the Olympic ticket yet, since there will be races in Brazil during the year where his opponents can get relatively easy points, but at some point they can't look past him anymore..
