The main (and truly the only proper) sport base for artistic swimming in Ukraine was situated in Kharkiv. Kharkiv is under a heavy shelling from russians from the very beginning of the war.

Canada is also in the mix for a team quota, but based off of free prelims, it’s safe to say that Canada won’t be qualifying a team, so the quota is unlikely to go to a nation further down in the rankings.

Yes, but as there was no European team Olympic qualifier (as France qualified a full team in artistic swimming as hosts) Spain’s quota would get reallocated to Canada should they qualify a team if I’m not mistaken.

Nope you’re wrong, just double checked and Italy is on 483.9390, while Greece is on 482.6918.

I think Canada`s chances for team quoata are very strong. Today there was a big problen with ACRO-C. But fixing it is sure way to Olympics.

Free routine is our weakest event, it’s very much possible that they make the same mistakes in prelims during the final.

      Also it being illegal in France means the IOC will have to test everyone pre arriving at 2030 and can’t wait till they arrive at the Games to do so. I’m sure at 2028 for some sports testing will happen on site if it’s not a rule of its governing body for non Olympic events. So far only a few sports like Athletics and Boxing have that rule - I suspect others will adopt it but others might take time.

Things could get complicated for a bit.

      Except NOC’s and governing bodies have to still follow local laws. Particularly for Under 18’s there could certainly be domestic legal issues regarding associations paying for travel to other counties to circumvent a domestic ban. Child protection services don’t always act reasonable to attempts to break a domestic law.
