There is already a case of Laurel Hubbard who won an unusual New Zealand weightlifting medal at 2017 WCh.

I'm almost sure of a man that compete in women's event in athletics during the Berlin '36 Olympics. But I really don't remember who he is..

That's who I'm thinking of as well but I'm too lazy to write a few words in Google  

 

I believe he wasn't a transgender though when he competed, but a man dressed as a woman. I might be wrong
