Arrived in Brazil last year, where it was consistently 30+ degrees, and I simply needed a cooler environment...so the aircondition in the hotel went on, no doubt. My thoughts on pie: apple pie is a legendary classic and you will never eat the same apple pie anywhere, every single person has a different twist on apple pie, especially since you can even use 7500 species of apples for different flavours.
