I don't think we need a thread for each sport. We already have the one about Athletics, maybe we can have as you said Artistic Gymnastics and Track Cycling, but other sports can be discussed on here.

That’s what we do on the British board I’m on.  Athletics, cycling, tennis etc are popular enough to sustain their own threads. Rowing, canoeing, gymnastics etc get lumped together in a Summer Olympic Sports thread.

Schedule for day one of the European championships next week:

Does that mean the women's all-around final will be part of the team qualification or how should I read this? It kind of comes across as if the all-around is sort of snuck into something else. Same for the men later in the week.

Yes, it's confirmed...the all-around medals will be awarded after the qualification event...

Apparently Italy will send a B team in track cyling

Predictable problem when they changed track cycling to a summer sport!

Thanks, it helps to know which places to mostly avoid (assuming it's not going to be like in the Olympics, where in threads of sports X results of sports Y were posted with great frequency) :d

Oh, so THIS is why the Artistic Gymnastics championships has not been staged yet, despite the fact that every other continent in the world has already staged their own continental championships. This "multi-sport" nonsense is the culprit.

Anyone knows why rowing, which definitely uses the 'European Championships' logo and such on World Rowing, is just entirely absent in the official program? :d

I know I can find the program for the European rowing championships here, but that's besides the point.

It shows up for me :dunno:
