What's the incubation period of this virus anyway? It's easy for it to go undetected if the test is conducted too early? :mumble:

Most cases shows up to 2 weeks (median at 5-6 days), but a few indications that it could be higher.

But well. Though we've seen more new cases outside China, it could seem like it is contained in the Wuhan area with worldwide numbers of new cases at its 2nd lowest in february (only yesterday was lower).

The more worrying thing is that it's rising rather rapidly in South Korea, for example. Plus there's now all of a sudden the Iranian and Italian situations.

@heywoodu Dutch FM was just here today, do they test him in his way back home to Amsterdam ? :d

but the situation is getting more and more serious here. they cancelled all gatherings including all sport competitions (cancelled or will be played behind closed doors) nationwide and also closed schools and universities in several provinces including mine. :(

No way :p

If he isn't sick, there's 'no reason to test him'. Although, worrying as it is, I would find it absolutely hilarious if Stef Blok ends up being the one to bring Covid-19 to the Netherlands.

So, we’re all screwed right? I haven’t been buying into the Covid19 rhetoric, but I’ve read some pieces from very respected reporters and experts who basically say we’re fucked. They say the Italian, Korean, and Iranian cases are what lead them to claim this. The fact that is so hard to detect means it can travel far before we can really do anything about it. Fighting Ebola was much easier than this.

I think we’ll see cases in California appear soon. We have way too many Chinese immigrants and expats to not be affected. At this point I can only wait.

Is it bad that this outbreak has made me want to play Plague Inc. again? :p
