Which Sports Events are you Currently Watching?

Recommended Posts

I’ve been re-watching the 2015 European Games Beach Soccer tournament during my break from university. I really miss the warm weather now :p

Here’s my full schedule for this week. Obviously I won’t be able to watch all of them, but I’ll try to catch as many of them as possible. (Yes I know it’s a lot :p)

NBA (Mainly GSW), NHL (Mainly Canucks), Judo Grand Slam Antalya, Junior Artistic Gymnastics World ChampionshipsCanadian Swimming Trials, Men’s Curling World Championships, South African Athletics Championships, BWF Spain Masters, 3x3 Basketball Asia Cup, HSBC Rugby 7s Hong Kong, PanAm Aquatics Waterpolo Championships, Surfing (Mainly the Barbados events happening now, but I may catch other ones), Tennis (Miami Open, Charleston Open, Bogotá Open, Estoril Open, Houston Open, Marrakesh Open), Beach Pro Tour (Coolangatta Beach Futures, Tahiti Futures, Ipanema Challenge)

There’s also some events I haven’t come across yet, probably in athletics/swimming mainly, which may get added into my calendar as the week goes on.

Good stuff this weekend

  • Rugby League Easter here in the Northern Hemisphere, already had a cracking Wigan-Saints game.
  • Paris - Roubaix times two - Women's Race already established as the best women's race of all women's races.
  • World Men's Curling Play-offs & Final
  • College basketball over, so full focus on PAC-12 softball.  Also NCAA beach volleyball - as usual, Alaska at the bottom of the table already.

Not for me, but the German Darts season continues.  Plus catch-ups on Russian biathlon & World Juniors Cross Country.

The German Darts event you mentioned is a European Tour event, so almost all the world's top players will be competing. I was very surprised at how poor Hull were today, but what matters to me most is that my team Widnes battered Swinton with a couple cracking length of the field tries.

    • this is not funny at all, pal
    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
    • Always dreamed Gretzky will draw Slovakia was another moment I can already remove from my things to do before die list
    • Finland have been awful in almost all winter sports, well beside ice hockey and cross-country from time to time, for a lot of years. It's very good to see them building people to challenge for wins again. Their new coach has done wonders it seems.
    • 14th June in Philadelphia against Cote d´Ivoire   20th June inToronto against Curacao   and 25th June in Philadeplphia to kick out  home    Not easy, but not the most difficult group. Should be okay. Vamos
