yes, I saw that...

however, it's live on TV (Teleticino...it's free to watch all around the world, in case you have some time to spend)...so, not a great issue for most people (actually, it's even better that there won't be certain idiots on the stands)...

I guess it's gonna hurt more HC Lugano, as they are fighting for the last playoffs spot against SC Bern (they are tied in points with 2 games to be played...1 of the 2 teams will earn a playoffs berth, the other would evetually play the relegation round, where Ambrì have already been stuck for quite some time...they basically have nothing to ask to these last 2 RS games)...

After 5 of 7 stages, the UAE Tour (cycling) has been cancelled after two Italians tested positive and, that's rather new, not for doping.

I'm going to post it here also:

I'm not sure if FIE will try to reallocated it again?

I think they're running out of options...

and I don't think they can still keep the date, as 1 week notice is really a short period...

let's see if later today or tomorrow they release an official statement...

however, in may there are still world cup stages on schedule, so they could use them to replace this weekend's even if they are outside the original OQP...:mumble:

The Zonal Qualifiers are in April, so it would not be possible.

    • Despite total domination by the Norwegian men (and yes, it's exhausting and boring), the accomplishments this weekend of Emil Iversen and Einar Hedegart are worth highlighting, despite them being Norwegian.    Iversen was dropped by the Norwegian national team after the opener in Beitostølen 2 weeks ago and was not taken to Ruka. Instead, he won both the 10k and 20k Interval Classic starts in Gålå in the Norwegian Cup last week, which granted him a spot on the start line in Trondheim. He took full advantage of that opportunity and finished on the podium in the skiathlon, and finished just off the podium in today's 10k Interval Freestyle. This definitely puts his name in serious contention for a spot on the Olympic team, which looked incredibly doubtful just a few days ago.    Einar Hedegart, the 24-year-old biathlete who decided to challenge the stereotype that biathletes are inferior skiers to their cross-country counterparts, just won the 10k Interval Start against all of Norway's best in a de facto Olympic trial.    Yes, it's exhausting seeing nothing but Norwegian flags on the men's side, but there can be excitement just beneath the surface at times.
